Charcoal Oven Restaurant & Lounge
Editorial
The cuisine at Charcoal Oven slots into “international”, Asian and seafood categories and offers something to suit every whim and wallet, from pre-dinner cocktails to festive three-course meals. The portions at Charcoal Oven are generous, the flavours are pleasantly mild and the garnishes fresh. The bar serves light, unpretentious snacks while the dinner menu boasts a bountiful assortment of smashing starters and seafood platters as well as charcoal-roasted meats and poultry. Oysters and local barramundi also make an appearance, as does the good old Northern Territory special of crocodile.
But before you order, make sure to check out the enormous live mud crabs on site - one of these babies will really top off your meal, Darwin-style. Hot chocolate makes for a sweet ending as does a martini glass full of fruity sorbets topped with fresh fruit. Allow plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful location as service is friendly but leisurely.
