Waterfront Restaurant
Editorial
It goes without saying that no visit to Sydney is complete without seeing the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Having said it anyway, a lovely way to see the famous sights is by having a lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants of The Rocks. These restaurants in Circular Quay west sit right on the water (as the name of this restaurant would suggest) in a converted stone warehouse. And Waterfront, in keeping with its name, theme and view, offers a menu brimming with fish and shellfish of all shapes and sizes.
In season you can order a whole lobster either mornay (white wine and cheese sauce), Singapore (chilli, garlic, ginger and tomato), or grilled with cognac butter or sashimi. Splash out on one of the seafood platters with prawns, bugs, octopus, lobster, scallops, oysters, crab, fish - and even crocodile tail for a true Aussie experience. For the less adventurous there is a large range of fish and seafood, as well as a couple of meat and pasta dishes for anyone feeling a little seasick after a harbour cruise. Finish with a pavlova, or cheese and a glass of sticky.
