The Loft Bar
Editorial
King Street Wharf's Loft Bar is all about the view - not just the splendid panorama of Darling Harbour, which is certainly easy on the eye, but also the beautiful bar staff and the oh-so-hot clientele. It's definitely one of those places to 'be seen'.
It's also a place to be seen drinking cocktails. And my, what an exhaustively seductive selection is on offer. What's more, the generally skilled barmen are game for concocting any old favourite that might not be on the list. Service is top notch here, if bordering a little on the snooty side. But if you glam it up and play along, a fantastically swish evening can be enjoyed by all.
The decor matches the views - all lush wood panelling and beautiful orange bead pendant lighting, with shared leather banquette seating. The food's not bad either - think oysters, steamed dumplings and indulgent shared platters.
It's a great spot to host the perfect birthday party, and can be booked out privately. Thursday nights mean the pianoman's in house, so you can sit back and enjoy some classic crooning with your discounted champagne cocktail or Pure Blonde beer. Friday and Saturday nights have DJ residencies. It's all about making you feel special, and that's never a bad thing.
