Redoak is a multi-award winning beer café, and it’s not hard to see why

Editorial

While the boutique beer revolution has been sweeping Australian for well over a decade now, there are still some uneducated corners that think beer’s an unsophisticated drink reserved purely for the bogans. If you know anyone with this dumb prejudice installed in their tiny brains, take them down to Redoak Boutique Beer Café quick smart.

A stalwart of Sydney’s boutique beer scene, Redoak opened its doors back in 2004. Master brewer David Hollyoak hasn’t looked back since quitting civil engineering for the beer trade, and has been snapping up awards left right and centre ever since. And it’s not hard to tell why.

With over 20 different beer styles on tap, all brewed by Redoak, this is a place of golden plenty for lovers of the amber ale. They brews on offer here will truly turn your head. Take for example their signature Framboise Froment, conditioned with hand-picked raspberries for full-fruity flavour, or my personal favourite the malty goodness of their Oatmeal Stout. There’s mighty tasty gourmet cuisine on offer too, including a plethora of tasting boards for those who want a little of everything.

It’s a pretty awesome place to enjoy beer too, with high ceilings, wooden floors and cream walls with plenty of natural light and room to spread out. What’s more to say? Get down here now and spread the education.
