Souk in the City
Editorial
It's part of their shtick here - they pride themselves on a very hands-on dinner service. If you prefer your waiters distant but attentive, this is most certainly not the place for you. If you're all for big character, come on in. Said partition wall stealthily divides the venue into restaurant and the rather cosy bar next door. There's a decent wine list on offer and the beers are varied enough too, but it's really the cocktails with a twist that make this place worth a pricey evening out.
The cocktail list is a real treasure. Try a heart-warming Marrakech Vanilla Room with Baileys, Absolut Vanilla and Licor 43 with lashings of chocolate milk, or spice things up with the Spice Sticky - chili & orange-infused vodka with Cointreau, mint, lemon and orange. They do several twists on the martini theme, with rose water & pomegranate a refreshing option. And, of course, you can choose to chow down on some mouth-watering North African cuisine too. Never a bad option, and it's easy enough to find yourself dreaming of Rick's cafe in far off Casablanca. Just watch out for Nazis...
