David and Meredith Poirier are bringing a little piece of France to Rozelle. The large cane armchairs and outdoor tables lining the footpath are reminiscent of many Parisian bistros. Sit and savour the exquisite coffee that is roasted on the premises and served until 3.00pm everyday alongside the sumptuous breakfast and lunch menu. In typical French style, an omelette is available throughout the day, with the ingredients changing according to the chef's whim. This is one among many French delicacies that are served at La Grande Bouffe (loosely translates to the big feast). The parfait and terrine are delicious and the perfect light lunch.

By night, the restaurant is transformed into an intimate dining space with candles reflecting the polished floors, dark stained furniture and textured wallpaper. The modern French menu compliments a beautiful wine list with a stable of French wines. Sip a glass of Chablis with steamed baby barramundi, served with beef cheek, pearl barley ragu and new season peas. If you are after something a little more exotic, perhaps try the slow braised wagyu brisket with sweetbread, tongue and horseradish bone marrow butter. The service is extremely professional, and with so many of the waiters speaking French, you can close your eyes and imagine you're in Paris.
