They say the Piccolo Bar is a piece of living Kings Cross history and it is. It opened over 60 years ago and became the home of the jazz cool in the 50’s. It boasts visits from Chrissy Amphlett, Peter Allen, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and many more. Barista Vittoria Bianchi is as famous as the café itself and is one of the Cross’s legendary characters. The food is strictly comfort with soups and stews in winter and salads and antipasto in summer. It’s good and wholesome and the coffee is some of the best in the strip.
