Piano Room

The Piano Room has distinguished itself quite successfully in a short matter of time.

Editorial

The Piano Room is a relative newby in fickle Kings Cross, which seems to have not only successfully conquered The Scene, but established one of its very own. Admittedly, the location is irresistible. There's nothing more appealing than standing on the (limited capacity) outdoor terrace, feeling the neon glow of Sydney's iconic coke sign beaming down onto you and your Cosmo. It seems to be the ultimate in sympathetic lighting.

And then there are the Piano Room punters. Perhaps one of the fastest crowds going, this is absolutely the ideal spot for some high-end people watching. Featuring regular soirees and fashion-oriented parties which garner full first page frontage in the social rags, the odd celebrity-cum-singer/songwriter hardly turns a head.

The drinks of course are fabulous. For everything exclusive and/or expensive, The Piano Room is your oyster. The cocktail menu is beautifully varied and turns over frequently enough to keep the regulars interested. The theme is loosely South American, so you can expect a lot of mint and lime. There's truly something for everyone, though, and if you're fortunate enough to catch the back end of a function, you may even get a freebie (Sky Vodka RTDs, anyone?).

Dress extremely well and bring your best accessory. Be prepared to line up from Thursday night onwards, and possibly denied entry anytime afterwards.
