Located in the heart of Sydney on the banks of the Parramatta River, this lively theatre offers a ridiculous array of quality shows every week. From comedy galas, stand-up and kids shows, to opera, live music and theatre workshops, Riverside is known to have the best and most eclectic program in Sydney.
Acting more like some sort of theatre banquet, Riverside boasts three stunning venues under the one roof. The Rafferty's Theatre, seats around 100 people and suits small corporate events, seminars, stand up comedy acts and small scale productions. The Lennox Theatre is slightly larger aiming at being more flexible than the Rafferty's, seating approximately 220 people. The main theatre, The Riverside Theatre, has an audience capacity of 761 and is regarded as an “A reserve house”. This means that sightlines are ideal in most seats, allowing viewers to enjoy performances no matter where they sit.
The facilities at Riverside are second to none, but it's their regular quality performers that make this theatre so great. With over 700 performances and events taking place every year, it's easy to see why punters keep coming back again and again.
