Boho without being pretentious, alternative to its core and naturally oozing street cred - just like the Enmore Theatre, which is located at the south west of the King Street strip.
Rock and roll seeps from the walls of this iconic Sydney music venue and The Enmore hosted the fair share of legends including a Licks Tour performance by The Rolling Stones and Oasis in the early noughties.
It's got that warm intimate club vibe despite being an Art Deco theatre, which is why bands love to play here and fans relish seeing their favourite festival band in such a cosy setting. Franz Ferdinand, Belle and Sebastian, Arctic Monkeys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jet, Regina Spektor, Motörhead and Sigur Rós have all graced its stage recently.
The Enmore also presents theatre, drama, avant garde and physical theatre. You'll also get a laugh with the A-list of comedy including Merrick and Rosso, Wil Anderson and Carl Barron on the roll call. The under five's are also down with The Enmore, making regular pilgrimages to see kiddie faves like Hi-5 and The Wiggles.
And you can't get much more street cred than that!
