Delhi 'O' Delhi

For one, it boasts a formidable team in chef Abul Bashar, who previously manned the pans at Oh Calcutta and host Javed Khan, who is earning a reputation as one of the most charming restaurateurs around. The menu features traditional and vibrantly flavoured Indian dishes with just the right amount of spice. The adraki lamb chops are a perfect place to start, marinated overnight in fresh spices and barbecued in the tandoor, the lamb melts in your mouth. The goat aloo simmered with potatoes and fresh coriander is a must-try dish, but leave room for the gulab jamuns with their delicate rosewater syrup for dessert. Delicious food and delightful service guarantee that you'll be back time and time again.

I guess I'm one of the 'army of ambassabors' that Amy mentioned. I love this restaurant. The range of food is superb with something for every taste, and the quality is second to none. The fish is beautifully fresh, the lamb chops are perfectly spiced and mind-blowingly tasty, and the goat melts in your mouth. Service (courtesy of Javed) is great: friendly, helpful, and quick without the feeling that you're being rushed out of the door to make space for the next customer. Great value (BYO) 10/10
