Mezzapica
Editorial
Competition here has kept prices down, and Mezzapica offers perhaps the best value in the area. There's a small selection of starters or light snacks: scrumptious pesto bread, frittata or an antipasto plate constructed from gourmet selections from the sandwich bar. As well as focaccias, salads and the usual pasta suspects, Mezzapica do a couple of house specials such as prawn and crab ravioli with brown sage butter, rocket and parmesan shavings, and risotto with chicken, mushrooms, garlic and white wine in cream sauce and parmesan. One nice thing about Mezzapica Cafe is that many of the cakes from next door are available to try. Their famous cannoli is highly recommended.

My coffee arrived after 15 minutes and after at least two others who arrived 10 minutes later received theirs. The eggs and coffee were good but the bacon was terribly burnt - I can't believe a self-respecting cook would serve that up to customers. Then they mistook my bill for someone else's and was almost overcharged by 50%. Not a good experience. I suspect they save good service for their friends. Doubt they will survive long.
