Fitting right into the Italian foodscape of Norton Street, Leichhardt, the Martini Bar is a perfect destination for a drink pre or post movie at the neighbouring Palace Cinema. It's even more perfect if you are hungry, as they serve popular Italian staples such as pizza, pasta, risottos, meats and seafoods from an ala carte menu that has something for everyone.
The drinks list, again, has something for everyone. In honor of its namesake, six flavours of Martini are on offer - from the 'classic' with gin or vodka to the more 'exotic,' with your choice of apple, lemon, espresso, lychee or blood orange. At $12 they are a bargain. A variety of even more exotic and wondrously complex cocktails are also on offer at $14.
If the thought of a martini before a movie is something of a challenge, the wine list is more tame, but inclusive of all your needs. On the other hand, if you run toward a challenge, go straight to the list of grappa, whiskey and ports.
The Martini Bar can host functions, parties, and other celebrations. Large indoor and balcony spaces can cater for groups as small as 10 to as large as 200 people. This is an ideal place to host a group for drinks or dinner packaged up with a movie. Visitors to Leichhardt may choose to perch window-side for a prime view of Norton Street's live action, but be careful, you may stay all night!
