Renowned for their homemade gelato, De Luca Gelateria Italiana is a Sydney institution. Owner Luigi De Luca has been making gelato for more than 50 years and is widely credited for the birth of the gelato industry in Australia. He also founded the Gelato Manufacturers Association and is one of the only accredited teachers in gelato making. Using a Sicilian recipe from Messina, De Luca has invented so many flavours he has now lost count, but there's no forgetting his gelato is a winner.
