One click on Churchill's website link tells you all you need to know about this bar. Sport, sport and more sport. Be warned, one click and a pundit-sounding type blares out “if you fancy a punt on the horses head down to Churchill's sports bar where racing, facing and chasing is featured every day on our big screens and you'll be able to grab a quick feed with our 20 minute express lunch guarantee”. This accompanied with triumphant trumpet and clopping horse hoove sound effects.

Churchill's is no glamour spot for the ladies. This is a bog standard sports bar, with beer, millions of big screens and every conceivable sport played constantly, from the minute it opens till last drinks at night. Whether it's international soccer games, AFL or the boxing, Churchill's wants a piece of it. There's even a wall of fame enshrining Australian sports stars past and present.

A female friend once described it as a hole, “all blokes, massive screens, TAB is king and it smells like a school canteen”. The carpet is also a fairly hideous sight to behold, and sticky with beer too. However, if you're not a girl, and are, in fact, a sports-mad bloke, you'll probably love it. You can watch sport and bet all at the same time while enjoying your beer. The food's cheap too, and you can grab a roady from the bottle-o. Goal!
