With its ambience of a discount shopping mall food hall, this is not the sort of place you take a first date. Unless, of course, your paramour is a fool for Thai flavours. The sour, salty, hot trinity plays out reasonably well on the plate at this little spot. The service is fast and the bill won’t send you to fiscal hell. But, if you’re seeking true Thai, you won’t be sent to heaven, either. Like so many Australian Thai restaurants, the kitchen takes its instruction from Cambodia, China and the local palate.
