AB Hotel
Editorial
The AB Hotel has been undergoing a renaissance of sorts over the last few years. The interiors have been renovated, primped and preened. It's an inner city pub chasing an inner city crowd who seem to like this kind of look.
The bar-length aquarium is a centrepiece; the talking point to draw the folks into this TARDIS-like pub.
While having a drink and socialising amongst the opulent surrounds might be the obvious draw, sampling the food need not be a secondary consideration. Any pub that has a Wagyu steak on its menu clearly cares about its cuts.
What's perhaps most notable about the food is that it doesn't try and match the price tag of the re-fit to the hotel. The food seems to be paired round a Poker Night or Russian themed night at the hotel. And while a backpacker might serve you your meal (like most pubs in Sydney), again that's all part of the many-floored mix of the place
With revolving 20% off and 2 for 1 meal deals amongst other offers during the week you're sure to return and not just to see if there's a new species in the aquarium.
