Grab a kebab on the run if you’re in a hurry, but for a thoroughly satisfying feast take a seat at The Sultan’s Table. The menu at this Enmore restaurant draws entirely on authentic Turkish cuisine, using halal ingredients and recipes that have been passed down for generations.

Editorial

The Sultan's Table might look like your average Turkish takeaway joint at first glance, but don't let that fool you into thinking this is the sort of place you merely stop into for a boozy kebab on your way home from the pub. Look past the deli cabinet loaded with moorish dips, zucchini fritters and stuffed vine leaves and you'll find a cosy little den of tables draped in Persian rugs and a summery open-air courtyard, all permeated with the mouth watering smell coming from the grill. If you're in a hurry you're more than welcome to grab a kebab on the run, but for a more authentic and thoroughly satisfying feed, pick up a bottle of wine from down the road and settle in to feast like royalty.

The menu at The Sultan's Table draws entirely on authentic Turkish cuisine, using halal ingredients and recipes that have been passed down for generations. The best place to start is with a vibrantly coloured platter of mixed dips accompanied by warm Turkish bread; the chilli dip and humus are particularly tasty. The chargrilled kebabs are a sight for hungry eyes, with zesty tabouli and flat bread piled high with tender cubes of lamb, chicken and beef still smoking from the grill. The selection of pides (folded Turkish pizzas) includes meat, vegetarian and gourmet choices as well as the option of creating your own. The Sultan's Table has a small selection of traditional desserts like baklava and some serious Turkish coffee for anyone who is game.

The staff are always friendly, the food is amazing... Sultan's has never let us down! The boys love the mixed grill, but the pide is worth a try as well... everything is spot on!
