Dish, a Restaurant
Editorial
The signature restaurant of the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour, Dish, takes a deliciously fresh new look at hotel dining in more ways than one. Set on the lobby level of the hotel on the western bank of Darling Harbour, Dish commands magnificent views of the city skyline through soaring floor to ceiling windows. The towering skyscrapers across Darling Harbour twinkle with lights as you relax with a glass of wine in the bar before moving into the sleek surrounds of Dish to indulge yourself in the modern Australian a la carte menu.
The appointment of a new chef from within the Accor group has given the menu a fresh lease on life that will change your perception of hotel dining. Warm baked ciabatta rolls dipped in garlic olive oil are an ideal place to start while you peruse the menu. Roasted Balmain bugs with an Italian noodle salad makes for a light, yet satisfying, entree or for something more robustly flavoured, choose the warm duck salad with pears. A main of dry-aged fillet of Angus beef is cooked to perfection, while the traditional fish and chips are served in a feather-light, crispy batter. Desserts are exceptional as well.
