Bar Mattino
Editorial
There's something on the blackboard menu for everyone to tuck into at Bar Mattino, from simple snacks on the go to more hearty dishes. Sunday is roast dinner day in the cooler months, with young urbanites that can't be bothered to cook their own roasts coming in for a bit of old-fashioned Sunday fare. Most of the food on your plate at Bar Mattino is home made, from the muesli with sheep's milk yoghurt and poached fruit to the crumpets. Tyson is currently gearing the menu towards a more organic focus, with the lamb burger a tasty offering. There are plenty of cafe favourites on the menu, like the huge BLT, pasta dishes (the linguine "Franco" is named after a regular customer) and the grown up version of a chip butty, made with hand cut chips, rocket and aioli. You can take the boy out of Britain but you can't take Britain out of the boy, so rest assured that Bar Mattino has one of the finest collections of tea you'll find in Sydney, not to mention cracking coffee.
