Eurolounge
Editorial
The most up-market establishment in Castle Towers' sprawling Piazza, Eurolounge is also among the most long-lived. Attractively fitted out with a sleek and clean design, it's one of the Hills' few options for pressed white linen, chandelier-lit fine dining. With a trendy cafe atmosphere by day and a chilled-out lounge feel by night, Euro Lounge is a magnet for the suburb's suited and high-heeled, but given its shopping centre location, it's a good thing the staff happily cater for young families as well.
While the menu was once determinably Italian, Eurolounge has since evolved into a more multi-faceted, modern Australian eatery. The excellent wood-fired pizza however, has remained, and has stayed true to relatively traditional toppings, such as basil, porcini, prosciutto and parmesan. Pastas too make an appearance, including a rather luxurious lobster and prawn ravioli with tomato concasse and champagne volute. The real treasures though, are in inventive, smartly executed dishes like the braised ox-tail crepinette with scallops and pear compote; and the pan-roasted duck breast with balsamic cherries, couscous and red wine sauce. A pricey (but spectacular) seafood platter can be ordered for special occasions. Eurolounge also serve High Tea from 10am to 4pm everyday. With over 40 leaf teas to choose from, it's a great way to momentarily forget the furious bustle outside.
