Built in the early 1900’s on a rocky outcrop at the southern end of Bondi Beach, Bondi Icebergs is one of Sydney’s most iconic ocean pools.

Editorial

Recently upgraded, Bondi Icebergs, located at the southern end of Bondi Beach, is probably one of Sydney's most iconic ocean pools. Built on top of a rocky outcrop that juts out into the ocean, the pool was first built more than 80 years ago and is cherished by locals who swim its 50 metres of fresh seawater all year round. During high tides, waves often crash over the edge, which is an incredible sight and makes for thrilling swimming if you don't mind a rocky ride. There's also a 20-metre children's pool, fully equipped gymnasium, sauna and massages, but it's worth noting the pool is closed every Thursday for cleaning when the sea water is completely emptied and refilled straight from the ocean.
