A backpacker's delight and a haven for the Irish music lover. The Cock 'n' Bull has been serving up the craic for well over two decades.

Editorial

Don't you just love a pub with a name such as, The Cock 'n' Bull. I almost don’t need to write another word – I think we all understand what a pub with such a name is all about. However, for those who think this is just another Irish themed pub, they’d be wrong. The Cock 'n' Bull is certainly Irish, but, it's a long way from the franchised, gimmicked up 'pubs' that just won't go away.

For 25 years The Cock 'n' Bull has been taking care of locals and tourists alike and although it has its fair share of competition, with it's loyal band of followers and plenty of ring-ins this place can get pretty rowdy – which is what you want from an Irish pub and certainly what you'd except of a pub with that name.

While there's plenty who come here for the Guinness and Kilkenny, it's the entertainment that packs them in. Each week there's a selection of live music. Lovers of Irish music are well pleased and for those who prefer a more mainstream feel, there's plenty of cover bands and DJ's who ramp it up on weekends.

There's three bars, a gaming room and a pool room, and for those after some real Irish pub grub, the bistro serves extremely reasonably priced meals. Karaoke on Mondays is a hoot, and their Sunday Sessions are legendary.

For those looking to celebrate St Patrick's Day, look no further.
