The Bondi Hotel is as cool as it sounds. Packed to the brim with surfers, back-packers and the local swimsuit models, the Bondi is the place to be seen when you're trying not to be seen. In other words, it's the darling of the locals because it has the same unassuming glamour of any local boozer, but differs primarily in that it services a population of mainly film stars and celebrities. Chances are you'll see one casually sipping a Coopers Pale in a pair of oversized sunglasses and looking suitably seedy on a Sunday afternoon. Cynicism aside, the Bondi Hotel is popular because of it's superb location and reasonably priced beers. What more could you possibly want? Apparently, not much, according to the locals.
They have the standards on tap plus the odd boutique brew to keep the whole family happy, as well as fancier cocktails and mixers available across their numerous bars. The beer garden is as roomy and friendly as any around, and they have a full tolerance policy on thongs, swimwear, singlets and hats. If sitting around is not your thing, there's a room specifically dedicated to the game of pool, and another specifically dedicated to the game of football (any sport actually. Foxsport is broadcast regularly on one of the biggest pub screens in Sydney).
The Bondi Hotel is something of an institution, but there's not an ounce of complacency and they couldn't be friendlier with both the locals and the newbies alike. One for the family and one for the friends.

Simply amazing! Watch out for the rip current it will pull you out fast. Great place to hang out and watch the surfers. Beautiful place for a sunset. http://www.australiavoyage.net/bondi-beach-tourist-attraction-and-accommodation.html
