Patronised by locals in the know, Carlo’s at Watson has a beautifully sunny outdoor dining area perfect for functions and parties. The sophisticated decor continues inside with high ceilings and hardwood floors. While Carlo’s at Watson can get a bit noisy and is usually packed, this just adds to the party atmosphere. Sporting an eclectic and international menu - drawing mainly on Mediterranean influences - diners will find many things to please their palate.
Predominantly seafood, the menu features plenty of vegetarian options, though limited to salads, risottos and pastas. The signature Greek salad is simple and predictable, but good nonetheless; the Caesar salad is everything it should be and hits the mark. The Cretan prawns are amazing, served still sizzling in their clay pot with bread for dipping in the delicious garlic sauce. Mains range from chicken Madras curry to Kosciusko king rib with mash, roast tomato and bacon, while the tasty wedges will be gone in seconds. Carlo’s at Watson is not just the perfect place for parties and catering events, but also for relaxed Sunday mornings in their sunlit alfresco area.

On time & had 2 wait. Told tables at the back of restaurant, but due 2 pram couldn't be seated. We were taken 2 a makeshift area they had set up - plastic tables they use for the takeaway shop next door. As a Mum of a 2.5yo & 5mth old I don't get 2 dine out often & I was looking fwd 2 the great food & dining experience @ Carlos. Sitting @ a plastic table was not what I had in mind! There were empty tables outside & I asked if we could sit at one of these. Before we had a chance 2 ask if we could be seated at one of the empty tables they said we take our seats or go. I said that we booked 2.5 weeks prior & he said this didn't matter as they don't allocate seating by first booking. We said we were regular customers & he said that we take the seats & 2 quote, "I don't give a s**t", which way we went. As someone who waitressed for years, I understand it was a busy day & staff were under pressure, however 2 swear @ customers in front of kids is beyond rude. Esp on Mum's Day & we booked.
