Caph's Restaurant & Bar
Editorial
For over 25 years Caph's has been a family favourite in Manuka, with the restaurant dishing out thousands of those well-loved steaks and pastas every month. With a relaxed atmosphere and traditional Italian-esque cuisine, this restaurant is perfect for families with kids. Don't go there if you're in a hurry, though; the service is rather ambivalent at the best of times. With the summer months fast approaching, grab a seat in the outdoor area for a prime view of Manuka's buzzing streets and settle in with some comfort food that'll stick to your ribs.
If you're feeling ravenous try a generous serve of pasta. With sauces like arrabiata, carbonara and marinara, they're not exactly genre-defying, but that doesn't mean they're not delicious. The mains are rather reminiscent of dolled-up pub grub; various forms of schnitzel, pepper steak, and fish and chips dot the menu. If you're feeling slightly adventurous, try the honey chilli chicken or the barramundi with cashews. For dessert, take a trip back to your childhood and finish with a banana split or home-made waffles with ice-cream.
