Dumplings. These heaven-sent little parcels of yum are the cause of much of debate. Everyone has their favourite dumpling house and fortunately for the good people of Macquarie, the Dumpling Inn is in most people’s top three dim sum restaurants in Canberra. It’s a pleasant and simple room and gets rather rowdy during yum cha sessions. The stand-out dumplings are the prawn and garlic variety. Also try the Peking duck pancakes and the honey king prawns are good too. Cheaper than most other yum cha diners and the service is friendly. It’s best to book ahead of a weekend.
