Zeffirelli is a well known name in Canberra. The first Zeffirelli restaurant opened in Dickson in 1998 and over the past 12 years two other stores have been added in Belconnen and Manuka. Zeffirelli in Manuka is as popular as ever, and a very good choice for group dinner parties that turn into last minute large parties or families who travel in a minivan. The format of the Manuka branch follows the tried-and-true Zeffirelli model with a menu of pasta, pizza, mains and specials, all served in generous proportions without an overly expensive price-tag. The extensive selection means that children and hungry teenagers are well looked after, while fussier diners will be sated with a few more sophisticated choices.
With location one of its fortes, Zeffirelli in Manuka is ideally situated on the corner of Franklin Street and is easily accessible by bus and hard to miss for those making their way by car. The restaurant is well designed with plenty of outdoor seating available, perfect for eating gelato in the sun in the warmer months. Zeffirelli also specialises in take-away and delivery. In fact, the restaurant prides itself as being one of the few outlets in Canberra that offers an a la carte delivery service. With a huge menu, as well as daily specials, there is an abundance of choice at Zeffirelli, especially in terms of pasta and pizza. Also very important is the fact that Zeffirelli now offers a large gluten free menu with a multitude of gluten-free pizza and pasta choices available. Zeffirelli in Manuka is sure to continue to be an enduring favourite.
