Canberrans are getting more and more serious about their coffee and thankfully the cafés are finally stepping up. Double shot is an airy and modern café with an impressive front window that opens up to overlook the very popular courtyard. Cyclists flock here of a weekend to refuel on their morning rides, however there’s usually a free table or two. Be warned, the coffee can range from excellent to average so specify if you like your brew strong. Breakfasts are generous and the Big Brekky, complete with chorizo and bacon is an enjoyable challenge. Staff are friendly and efficient.
