Billed as 'Canberra's most friendly and intimate bar', the Mercury is essentially a place where friends kick back over basic bar fare. Local and imported beers and cocktails are the specialty here, headed up by a gimmicky concoction of flavoured liqueurs called a 'teapot', naturally enough, served in a teapot. The mind boggles. The Mercury is a place for blokes and their babes to chill to top 40 hits spun by local DJs and guest bands.
