Academy Club
Editorial
There's a reason why the architecturally-designed Academy nightclub is an award winning venue. One visit on any night they're open will tell you why: it's simply one, big party. Sporting Canberra's largest sound system and the most advanced light show in town, there's no guessing why most citizens end up here at the end of their night (it's also open way late). Sure, the dancefloor holds around several hundred hot, sweaty bodies, and the DJs are all set to stun, but it's not just about bouncing and thumping.
With an emphasis on pre-mixed drinks, basic spirits and beers, the bars serve a power of punters in lighting speed - all the better to get you back in those dancing shoes. Meanwhile, the upstairs Candy Bar is a cocktail bar which utilises the house-infused vodkas. The young and restless flock to the leather lounges of this chill-out space when in need of a nice vanilla vodka or Jager bomb. You might even find yourself here if you can tear yourself away from the dancefloor - with regular tours from MOS and Onelove DJs, you might find this a little hard.
