Winthrop Hall - University of Western Australia

35 Stirling Highway, Crawley

-31.9774100 115.8136100

Known as ‘the jewel in WA University’s crown’, this cathedral-like venue is definitely on the impressive side. Fantastic acoustics means this is a venue made for choral and classical music and intimate recitals. A marble and mosaic foyer, vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows and beautiful Aboriginal motifs on the roof make this a very special place with performances to match.

Octagon Theatre - University of Western Australia

35 Stirling Highway, Crawley

-31.9774100 115.8136100

Known for its intimacy (658 seats) this is the perfect venue to host opera, classical and popular music, dance, theatre, stand-up comedy and (if you’re really lucky) seminars. Kicking off in Fremantle in the early 80s, SWY Theatre soon set its sights on the bright lights of Perth. The troupe settled into their new home at the Playhouse Theatre, adopted the current name and has been producing awesome stage shows ever since.
