Once a cemetery, Suncorp Stadium has been the home of rugby league since 1957. In 2008 it hosted the Rugby League World Cup. The atmosphere at this state of the art rectangular stadium is often described as 'electric' due to the acoustics which amp up the noise level of the crowd. A bronze statue of Rugby League legend Wally Lewis stands guard outside the stadium.

The Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) opened in 1985 and was designed by Brisbane architect Robin Gibson. Several theatres are housed within QPAC and the Cremorne is the most versatile. It has the capacity to seat 302 people and can be configured in six different ways. It is often used for experimental theatre and solo performance.
