A bunch of babes and buff dudes with one character trait apiece head to an island for a weekend of high jinks, and get munched on by an assortment of sharks that just happen to be among the local wildlife. In 3D. David R. Ellis, the director who somehow managed to fumble Snakes On A Plane, has another go at an old-fashioned animal-attack picture. He stirs in a modish, semi-torture porn element and then, basically, tosses all the expected ingredients at your face. Some nice underwater 3D photography surfaces, but Ellis reins in the toothsome splatteriness (and bikini-doffing), thus failing to join in the exploitation orgy game, as played by the contemporary classic that is Piranha 3D.
