Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer

Though it's refreshing to see a tween star that doesn't resemble miniature Barbie, melodramatic and spoilt Judy Moody (Jordana Beatty) should ease up on the red cordial. Judy's world ends — and tantrums ensue — when her BFFs ditch her to spend summer in Borneo and circus camp. Luckily, her immature and super-fun Aunt Opal (Heather Graham, doing her thing) helps Judy achieve her "perfect summer" bucket list, which includes finding Big Foot. Anyone who's not a girl will wish this imaginative flick — and its colourful and loud cast — took some Ritalin because, well, it's all a bit much. Little ladies, though, should enjoy this ride through what childhood would be like if they ran it.
