Hannah Montana: The Movie

Editorial
Well, y'all, we reckon this is the perfect movie for your aspiring starlet teenyboppers. However, if you're not female or are over legal age, you might not have heard of Deep South superstar Hannah Montana. After all, the 16-year-old alter ego of Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus) has only managed to achieve stratospheric success in the past few years, taking over the tween world with her own Disney show and surprisingly catchy songs, forcing every female under the age of 12 to lose her mind.
Just like the screaming girls seen in this first Hannah Montana Movie (the 3-D concert film doesn't count, all right), her biggest (little) fans will be ecstatic about Miley's cinematic adventure. For everybody else, the humour will be cheesy.
Miley Stewart lives the rock-star dream as Hannah Montana: she goes shopping for free, and even gets her own private jet. But her L.A. lifestyle starts to overpower the real Miley. Her dad decides he's had enough and Miley is forced to remember where she came from by spending two-weeks at her Tennessee hometown.
Although the secretive superstar is initially reluctant and sulky, how could she not get into her smalltown return, especially when it serves up a cowboy farmhand love interest and a sweeter-than-sweet tea grandma?
As happens in every episode of the TV show, Miley has to fight against the never-ending mini catastrophes that threaten to reveal her secret. Naturally, the whole movie will boil down to her eventually having to pick between Hannah and Miley. Even though the film's critical moment turns out to be a huge cop-out, no biggie. It's just plain fun for fans to watch Hannah Montana rockin' out on stage; so let yourself enjoy the ride, because it's all about "The Climb" in the end.
