Cedar Boys
Editorial
A young Lebanese-Australian panel beater, struggling to realise his dreams, is offered a chance to set himself up for life. All he has to do is follow a plan to outsmart the cops and a gang of serious criminals. He wants the prize... but is he ready to pay the price?
Cedar Boys is an authentic, compelling and adrenaline charged ride into the lives of young men of Middle Eastern descent today in Sydney, Australia. It's the real world - a side we haven't seen.
Real and raw, coming directly from an insider's perspective, Serhat Caradee's film is fueled by hot cars, music, racial tension and sex drive. A poignant look at young men of Middle Easter descent under pressure, seeking acceptance by a society they believe excludes them

I love Sam Raimi's older horror movies but was happy with my last minute decision to postpone viewing his latest in order to check out Cedar Boys. Two Hands is probably still my favourite 'rights of passage'/'crime caper' flick, but I reckon if I was a bit younger, or Lebanese-Australian, it would most definately be Cedar Boys. The movie rocked from start to finish - balancing the bravado with honesty, & life's thrills with it's pitfalls. I didn't see much publicity for the film, myself, but I've been busy with work, you see. I hope there is a decent publicity campaign out there for it, though, because this movie is undoubtably deserves it. Will be recommending.
