The fabulous Austrian fashion journalist Bruno was almost on his high horse in Sydney this week at the premiere of his self-titled movie Bruno. The flamboyant alter-ego of Sacha Baron Cohen (also alter-ego of the universally reviled Borat) created a paparazzi frenzy of epic proportion when he sashayed along the black carpet (red carpet is so 10 minutes ago) in a dazzling Centurion-inspired outfit accessorised with a live horse at the Sydney premiere of his mockumentary, Bruno.

Bruno fans were initially hoodwinked by an imposter Bruno who turned up in a pink hummer with a posse of models. The fake entourage proceeded to give a fair shake of the sauce bottle all over their bodies in typical Bruno groupie-like behaviour, before being upstaged by the real Bruno (and posse of scantily clad dancers), who announced his arrival with a “Vassup Sydney?”.

Bruno posed for the throng of photographers before addressing the crowd in a heart-felt speech in which he confirmed his love and admiration of “Ruddy' who, he explained, told him to return to Sydney for Mardi Gras where you get to wear a mask and go wild. He also managed to say both he and Malcolm Turnbull wanted to do the same thing to 'Ruddy', but only he was successful in that particular pursuit.

In fact, enough of us telling you about Bruno - watch the video now!
