Whitney Houston Tour Dates
Editorial
First taking the world by storm in 1985 with her self-titled debut album, Houston went on to fiercely shake up the pop lemon tree with numerous hits including How Will I Know, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Didn't We Almost Have it All, So Emotional, Saving All My Love for You, The Greatest Love of All and the Dolly Parton-penned I Will Always Love You. Originally released by Parton in 1974, Houston's epic version of the number (also the title track to feature film The Bodyguard starring Houston and Kevin Costner) became one of the biggest-selling singles of all time dominating charts in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Austria, New Zealand, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands … phew!
Emerging from her tumultuous personal issues only recently (thanks to an intervention by her mum, plus the 2007 divorce from Bobby Brown), Houston has re-connected with her voice - kicking off her first Brisbane show in style albeit for some bum notes and the odd croak which is to be expected.
Catch her in the flesh as she steadily re-builds her career. Expect to hear Houston classics alongside songs from her latest album, I Look to You (read our review), throughout the remainder of her Australia 2010 tour.

Such a shame that she has spent the last few years bombed out - she could really have been pumping out some great music. What a waste!

I went to see the Whitney Houston concert in Sydney last night. For what she has gone through (drugs, abusive marriage and depression), she has picked herself up and is making something out of her life. We all know that is truly highly commendable. Go for it, Whitney!
