When: 24 Sep 2011 – 5 Feb 2012
Where: Art Gallery of NSW
Tickets: Free

If there’s an object more dependably alluring than the human face, we’re yet to learn of it at Citysearch. We can become quite lost in its furrows and its planes.

There’s no better time to try to decode the mysteries of the countenance than at this exhibition curated from the Gallery’s own collection. This exhibition of portrait photography comes from the birth of the artform in the late 19th Century until the present.

Dupain and Destiny Deacon jostle for your attention alongside evergreen Dada weirdo, Man Ray. And, in even better news for the portrait photography student, the entire thing is free!
