Los Angeles all-girl art-rock quartet, Warpaint, were the talk of this year's Laneway Festival 2011; where in their early slot they showed up some of the more famous bands. They've been kicking around since 2004 (indie actress Shannyn Sossamon was an early member) but only released their NME-lauded debut album The Fool late in 2010. Now if you've read about their dreamy, psychedelic flourishes on coolsie muso blogs, spotted a tweet, or pondered a numerous dedicated Facebook posting by those in the know, their Splendour In The Grass sideshows, with guest Jack Ladder, are your chance to see what all the fuss is about.
