An electronic dance teddy bear's picnic.

Editorial

If you go down to Canberra today, you're sure of a big surprise. If you go down to Canberra today, you better go in disguise. For every teen that ever there was, will gather there for certain because, today's the day for Warehouse Music (Festival).

Using the jingle for Teddy Bear's Picnic to introduce a dance festival is a little trippy, but hey, so is Warehouse Music Festival. Kicking off in 2008, Warehouse has provided a much needed outlet for those crazy Canberra kids, with most electronic festivals tending to bypass the often lesser known capital in the pre-winter months. But not this year.

Headlining Warehouse are world class DJs Deadmau5 and Martin Solveig. Fairly impressive stuff right there. Add to the mix Skrillex, Bag Raiders, Chuckie, the godfathers of techno Derrick May & Kevin Saunders with Hi-Tek Soul, dirty-talking Wynter Gordon, the newly reformed Gabriel & Dresden, Dada Life, Ajax… to name them all would make your head explode!

Warehouse Winter Music is certainly a good indication of things to come for Australia's Capital with Canberra finally coming to the festival picnic.
