The Wiggles Greatest Hits! (In the Round)
Editorial
When: 27 - 28 November, 2010
Where: Burswood Dome, Great Eastern Highway, Burswood
When you think the kids' favourite four have done everything they can to entertain them, you are in for a big surprise - and lots more fun. Let your little ones experience The Wiggles and their colourful friends as they've never seen them before in The Wiggles Greatest Hits! (In The Round!)
Coming home after their massive tour around the globe Jeff ("Wake Up!"), Murray, Anthony and Sam have decided that they are going to do something special for their Aussie fans - let them create their most favourite sing-a-long. To get voting, simply log on to The Wiggles Facebook page and pick three Wiggly songs from 'Hot Potatoes! The Best of the Wiggles' collection. You never know, yours might be on the list!
Blue Wiggle Anthony can't wait to see what people choose. "This is the first time we've ever done this, so it's pretty exciting!", he said. Wiggling along with him will be the rest of the gang plus Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags and of course, Henry the Octopus.
And because they want everyone to see their great show, the production will again be performed "In The Round", where every seat is fantastic.

We've taken the kids to see the Wiggles before and they loved it. Great shows from a bunch of great performers. Well done to The Wiggles!

I would love to see the Wiggles come to Cairns. They have a huge following up here and unfortunately we never get any big name acts up here. We had Dorothy the Dinosaur but the kids really want to see the Wiggles. I think it is a real shame that kids miss out just because we live in the Far North. I had the pleasure of taking my 17 & 13 year old sons when they were little to Wiggles concerts in Hervey Bay. I now have a 2 year old son who also loves the Wiggles...... Cairns would dearly love to have the Wiggles visit our city....

Like Deborah Loy, I was very excited to hear that The Wiggles were coming to Cairns. And then I found out that, aside from paying $32.50 for each child, I also had to pay for a ticket for me!! Trust me when i say that if I was to spend $32.50 on entertainment for myself, it wouldn't be at a Wiggles concert!! Am I permitted to just drop my kids off and use the concert as a child-minding service?? At thsi rate, a couple of hours entertainment for my 2 kids turns into a $100 outing - more if you include the cost of buying any of the paraphernalia or snacks etc!! I think this type of small-mindedness has ruled a Wiggles concert out for many families. I'm afraid that, in this economic climate, $100 is far too much to justify for a few hours entertainment! No wonder the members of The Wiggles are amongst Australia's wealthiest people ... a shame it has to come at the cost of the kids!!

Note your promo piccie - not sure where you found this but Greg Yellow Wiggle no longer tours with the group - he quit a few years ago now (due to illness). Also for the newbies taking their kids along - maybe someone should mention that it is pretty much a necessity to take either Dorothy a rose (or roses) or Wags a bone (can be cardboard) so your child doesn't feel left out. Cheers, B : )

Saw the wiggles today at burswood.Went last year to see them and loved it.This time around was very disapointing,The wiggles seemed more interested in getting all the charecters to use the trapezes and circus props than to continue to generate rapport with the kids.It lacked momentum and heart.Surely the wiggles dont need the gimmicks to make a good show.both my kids 3 and 4 were bored at times and they LOVE the wiggles,The balloon sellers blocking up the exits on the way out did not help, as you could not avoid them and at $20 a pop for a balloon a lot of kids went home crying.A big big disapointment for a big big chunk of money

Have to say that I agree with suz above :-( Saw them at Burswood and the Wiggles 'magic' just didn't seem to be there. Too much Circus and not enough good music. Also, barely any word from Captain Feathersword! Dare I say they should "get back to basics"?

I absolutely agree with Loki and Suz Churchman. The Burswood isn't the best venue and I think that had a bit to do with it but I definately agree with 'BACK TO BASICS!' I couldn't even keep up with how many people were on the stage at one time so how can it hold a childs attention? Maybe they are too old now and need the support of the dancers so they have less to do? Captain Feathersword had such a small part that my son was disappointed and also lost interest half way through although like most the kids he is a massive Wiggles fan. I don't think I will bother next year. And it is disappointing to have such expensive merchandise. $20 a balloon is a joke!
