The Valley Fiesta
Editorial
A day of relaxing, listening to music, watching performances and eating – what’s not to love?! In a massive three day event (from Friday, 23 to Sunday, 25 October), Brisbane City Council is holding a fiesta and the entire city is ready to celebrate.
Leading the festivities will be a host of local, national and international acts (including Little Scout, Aleks and the Ramps, Andrew Morris , Vegas Kings and many more) who will perform across three stages on Brunswick Street, in the Valley Mall and the Chinatown Mall..
With music making up a big part of the festival this year, the main stage, Valley Mall, will become a hub of beat and dancing as rock, pop, indie and hip hop acts take over. Soul fusion, alternative-country and blues will swing out from the Brunswick Street stage, while surrounding cafes and restaurants will complete the chilled-out experience with a wonderful selection of food.
On the other end of the spectrum, at the newly redeveloped Chinatown Mall, visitors will be treated to street theatre performances, comedy, short theatre productions and a variety of acts by other performance artists. And perhaps best of all, The Valley Fiesta will be an all-ages event and completely free!
