Like most of the Teen Titans, this superhero had a famous and powerful parent. Supanova is the descendent of comicfest! which drew its last breath in 2002.

Since then, fans of comics, curiosities and brightly coloured cons alike have been paying homage to the younger cousin of the original.

A long time feature of an event known for its seamless organisation is that of the celebrity walk-in. Among the “Supa Stars” , you'll find Liam O'Brien, most broadly known for playing the role of Gaara on Naruto. The screenwriter and director is also known as a key player in the “Los Angeles Anime Mafia.” Which, really, should be more properly known as the Hollywood Yakuza.

But, heck, you can argue about that at the con. Enthusiastic debate about little details, after all, is what this forum is about!

But it's chiefly about sharing a passion for sci fi and fantasy film and TV, comics, anime, gaming and collectables. And, of course, a place for new artists to vibe off the energy of new fans and old aficionados.

And, finally, it's about connecting with other delightful obsessives. It's a great place to be peculiar.
