The Everleigh

Behind an unassuming door close to the corner of Little George Street on Gertrude Street, the interior of this immaculate bar is one of the few to make me consider yelling 'by George!' at the top of my voice in a plummy English accent. I suspect I may have been asked to leave had I done so, as it's all a bit stiff upper lip in its fabulousness. Possibly named after a high-class brothel from turn of last century Chicago, it's definitely a spin off of New York’s Milk and Honey bar. The artisans behind a beautiful marble bar are supreme in their cocktail making skills, even down to hand chipping the ice and freshly squeezing juice for mixers. Grab an invitingly decadent leather booth and settle in for the long haul.
