It is only in recent years that Australians have developed a real curiosity for Korean culture and artefacts. We’ve taken to the cinema and, of course, the food of this hitherto unknown land and now, it seems, we’re keen to have a gander at the nation’s extraordinary craftsmanship.

In this year of friendship between our nation and Korea see items from the Bronze Age to the present. Like all good archaeology, these objects crafted by Jang-In, or past-masters of a craft, do more than engage our sense of beauty. They tell a story of a nation.
