Simon & Garfunkel

Editorial
Simon and Garfunkel are one of the most acclaimed music duos in history. First emerging as part of the New York folk music scene of the early '60s, they've enjoyed a turbulent career stretching across five decades. While Sound of Silence was their big breakthrough song, the pair had a string of hits throughout the '60s. Between Scarborough Fair, Mrs Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water the guys not only maintained a decade-long chart presence, they helped usher in a new 'folk rock' sound.
While their melodies made Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel household names, the pair had a volatile relationship at the best of times. Basically, their history is littered with public screaming matches, temper tantrums, splits and reformations. All this was offset by a huge 'concert spectacular' every decade or so - when the stars aligned just right.
Apparently, those stars are now back in the required formation, because Simon and Garfunkel are touring Australia - their first shows here in 25 years. With over 40 million records sold, five Grammys and a place in the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame, they're one of the most influential acts of the last century. Don't miss this opportunity to see them live.

It was great to go and hear this wonderful duo perform for the last time here in Aus. The atmosphere was electric, the supporting band had a ball whilst demonstrating their outstanding talent. Fantastic!
