Six performers, two grand pianos, and a dazzling selection from some of the greatest examples of musical theatre ever written: West Side Story, Gypsy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Company and A Little Night Music. What better way to celebrate the work of the one and only Stephen Sondheim in his 80th birthday year?

Sondheim's witty and urbane lyrics and sophisticated musical stylings have won him adulation and acclaim around the world, as well as a string of awards including an Academy Award and a Pulitzer Prize, and multiple Tony Awards and Grammy Awards for such works as Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods.

Now, Whiplash Theatre presents a musical revue in tribute to this god of musical theatre, Side by Side by Sondheim.

A sophisticated night of entertainment for fans of Sondheim's work and lovers of musical theatre generally, Side by Side by Sondheim stars Gillian Binks, Casey Edwards, Sherry Anne-Hayes, Tim How, Simon Loughton and Ross Bryant as the Narrator; with musical direction by Tim Cunniffe and choreography by Claire Nichols.
