Shine On Festival
Shapeshifter
Editorial
If waiting for Rainbow Serpent Festival in January seems unbearable, the good folks behind Rainbow are bringing Shine On Festival back for its second year. More musically diverse than its older sibling, Shine On happens in the foothills of Victoria’s Pyrenees Ranges and kicks off the summer festival season with a cosmopolitan mix of sounds, arts, camping, dancing and more. The headliner is New Zealand drum’n’bass band Shapeshifter; other live acts include Brisbane electro-poppers Pigeon, French hip-hopper Wax Tailor, Melbourne’s shambolic mariarchi trio Puta Madre Brothers, Canadian minimal producer Frivolous, and San Francisco jazz-fusion jamsters Big Gigantic. On the decks are German techno/electro/progressive star D-Nox and his compatriot Day.din, French electronica producer Alex Kid, quirky gypsy-techno Germans Die Vogel, and heaps more. Sure to whet the tastebuds of hardcore doofers and daytrippers alike.
